Loved the Colorado Bell. Had many fond memories there. Loved the rooms, the up stair restaurants the decor and the entertainment. There prices were very reasonable. I hope they can find a buyer, fix it up and reopen. It would be a great comeback and I think many people would be thrilled and be willing to pay more to stay there.

Well everyone is right it was a good place to stay. I started visiting the Belle in the mid 80’s. I am not a gambler, however, I am a boater. Used to stay at the Belle while going to lake Mohave. In those days the 2 story casino was really cool, especially with the exabits on the 2nd floor and yes Mark Twain and their ribs. The parking lot was really good, if you were towing a boat.

HOWEVER, the hotel started to deteriorate through the years. The carpets in the hallways were beginning to smell, due to lack of cleaning, the hallways were smelling like mold I personally have checked into rooms that were not cleaned i.e., food on the table stained shower’s, this occurred on more than one occasion. They completely close the upper level, which was good for the family as kids could not be on the casino floor. So you see to close may have been a good thing. If they reopen they have their work cut out for them. To reopen will be less expensive than to build a whole brand new building!!

I loved the Colorado Belle, I drove from LA, CA about 3 to 4 times a year, since the 90″s, there is no other casino that compares. I haven’t been back since you closed, and honestly, I just don’t have the desire to stay any other hotel, the thrill is gone!

I really hope someone decides that the Colorado Belle is worth saving, and does what it takes to reopen, and soon!

I was considering coming to back to Laughlin since pre covid but heard The Colorado Belle may be closed. Oh no if that is true. Laughlin isn’t Laughlin without The Colorado Belle, we have had such a good time staying there many times. If it is closed by all means open it again, many of my friends have been talking about going back to the Belle.

…do miss the Belle… often stopped to rest a day or so on my way to Canada from Mexico… the slots were often kind and the food was good. Supposedly. that cursed resort fee most of the hotels charge, will soon be gone…honesty in advertising goes a long way. Laughlin was one of the last places to bring that in. Yes fuel is exorbitant in NV and CA but less so in AZ so that Phoenix market awaits… 3 hr 32 min (227.0 mi) via US-93 N.. perfect no stop distance for most Tesla vehicles… and electric EV’s are getting popular.. Free EV charging could go a long way as a marketing bonus…

We really miss the Belle. It was the first place we stayed at 17 years ago. We’ve haven’t been going to Laughlin as much since it closed. The other casinos are nice, but doesn’t have the same atmosphere. LOVED the poker room.

My first time at the Bell was 1987. Many more stays after that.The Bell has ran it’s course and needs to be leveled and start over, but who would waste their money on a losing cause. Laughlin has become a classless ghetto.

We were really hoping to celebrate our 35th anniversary there, as that was where we honeymooned. Just for memory’s sake.(We were young, and working and it was as far as we could get and still get to work on monday) Then it closed. Now we can afford somewhere better anyway, even though now we are one of the older people that we saw there 35 years ago, lol!

Been coming here since this casino was opened, I believe it was 1980. Mark twain was awesome with the ribs and the 24 hour coffee shop was awesome with a big huge piece slab of ham and eggs. Yum! All the shops were great up there, as well as the arcade for the kids. We really miss the old slot machines too that this place started with first as well as big Bertha $1.00 slot machine. Do you remember the Looney Tunes stuffed animals when you used to get 10 $100 jackpots on the slots and you would be able to turn them in to be able to pick out your stuffed animal to bring home, plus you kept all your winnings from the slots for them too? We brought home 10 of those in just one trip. We really miss the preferred slot players program too where you get to stay weeks at a time at no charge several times a year. If you did have to pay, it was only like $15-$17 per night to stay there if you were not on the preferred slot players club. The place was always packed as well as all the boats and Jet Ski’s in the parking lot too. They had great shows there as well until they decided to take them all the way. Then they started closing stores. They change the slot machines to cards that slide and then which was ridiculous and ever since then the place went downhill. Same without enclosed walkway from casino building to the hotel, ever since that went in, the place went to craps. Please remodel it and bring it back how it was when it first opened in 1980. Bring back the fun! Let us enjoy new memories like the old past ones.

My husband and I got married on the banks of the Colorado River at Davis camp park, we stayed at the Belle, it was my first of many trips to Laughlin and we always stayed at the Belle and then the Edgewater. Last time I went was in 2018 and we brought my young stepdaughter who LOVED the Belle! By that time all the upstairs was closed sadly, but we explored the abandoned restaurants etc and had so much fun! I’m really sad the Belle hasn’t reopened, it’s truly an iconic piece of Laughlin history, bring it back!

I went to laughlin this past week, my first time their. I passed along this Colorado bell, after a few days spent in laughlin, I just felt like something was missing. My gf talk about how Colorado Belle was,made it exciting. Now that I read the comments, I feel like I missed out on a piece of history. So I ask please open this piece of History, and bring back all the memories for the people the attended their on spent their Hard earned money…..

My husband purposed to me here. We raised our daughter coming here and now my daughters boyfriend knows the significance of the Belle to her and wants to also purpose to her there . I have been going to Laughlin since the early 80’s. The Belle was my absolute favorite place to stay and gamble. The upstairs restaurants and stores were the best. The brewery was great! Way before Pints. Playing live keno and the old style keno machines were my favorite things to do. I haven’t been back to Laughlin since the Belle closed. So many great memories would be too painful to see it closed. My hope is that Golden will put some money into it and reopen.

We lived in Bullhead City for 3 years and it was a pleasure woke up anytime of the night and go straight to the Colorado Belle.
Picking through wish door we will enter will started our gambling game.
Not without stop at front and and rub the bell for good luck, that after cut a small piece of rosemary and put on my pocket..
( for good luck)pocket that it will be full of money from “hitting ” a lucky strike .
Other times we just leave with the satisfaction of the friendly people working there and a full belly.
THE PEOPLE is what make the Belle feel like home.
So many emotions !
So wonderful memories!
Now The Colorado Belle sit there waiting, not to depart but to share the memories We just dreaming to someday cross that door even to do some shopping .
Nostalgic me.

We’ve been coming to Laughlin since the 1980s, staying at the Edgewater & the Belle and at the Belle we would always get a balcony room bc when done with gambling, was nice to come back & sit out there & have our own little “happy hour” before going back out to gamble again. Back when they used to have events right on the river walk such as the Oktoberfest & Mardi Gras, was nice to sit there & watch the show as well as people watch. Was the best times & we so hope it opens back up someday. We, like some others, don’t even go to Laughlin much after the closure of the Belle. It’s just not the same.

And to comment on one review…turn it into a ‘mega resort’ like Cancun ? Really ? No, I don’t believe that’s what the Belle needs nor the future of Laughlin. Laughlin is what it is, a desert oasis either it’s own destination or a town you stay in while passing through to other destinations. It is NOT Vegas and it is NOT Cancun. It has its own charm without the crowds, glamor & glitz of Vegas and in my opinion, if you want Vegas or Cancun, then go to Vegas or Cancun. Every place doesn’t need to be a copy of other places. Let it stand on its own uniqueness.

i cant say how much we miss it, such great memories and a comfortable and affordable hotel, everything you needed parking was great, access was great just heartbroken to see it sitting abandoned, loved the pool and jacuzzi was awesome, such a peaceful and serene surroundings too , easy to navigate pints had one of the best pizzas weve ever had!!!! beer too, our favorite was blueberry. i look forward to the day we can walk through the front doors of this casino again sometime in the near future and re-live some beautiful times there sincerely janet

It was our favorite Casino in Laughlin, such a great place to kick back and enjoy yourself – can not believe it is still closed.

Wish they would all just leave these Casino’s alone, stop changing them – everything has to be the latest and greatest with them – something to be said for nostalgia! They seem to want to cater to the younger crowd with the crazy slot machines, etc., – it’s the older people who have the money to spend NOT the younger ones – do not understand their business thought process – they should be catering to the older crowd who contribute to their profits – dummies!!!

Hopefully Golden sells the Colorado Belle and Edgewater and Aquarius to a highly capitalized company. They need to replace those casinos with Vegas style mega resorts that have a Cancun style beach theme. That’s what is best for Laughlin’s future. Clearly, Golden doesn’t have the capital to make it happen.

I miss the Belle a lot, it has a one of a kind look. It completed the river walk. Walking around it through the parking lot on a hot day is a real buzz kill !
