Petty thieves and medium mobsters would have kept Las Vegas a backwoods’ town, where they could rule with impunity. As I said many times, our times are always best to us and nostalgia keeps it that way, today’s heroes are tomorrow’s history and so on by generations.
It should be noted that many of the Spilotro family are still around in LV and are not in Tony’s past businesses, I met and know a few and one in particular is an outstanding citizen who went to HS with my kids. Oscar and wife have also remained high in the upper echelons of LV life, and have made large contributions to the Entertainment Capital of the World.
