As a member of the Aquinnnah Wampanoag tribe I am not thrilled of the casino going in to our home lands, but this is the tactic that the colonizers used to profit off of our island they have been “pimping” it out for years. It’s funny to hear summer people complain about our solution to poverty, so we can help our kids who are homeless because y’all take up most of the housing. Y’all don’t even understand that our people are strugging to the point where they’re are single mom’s with sons sleeping is the car because they don’t have summer housing and they are going hungry because they don’t want to keep food in their car they are scared of rats getting in the car. So sorry for the inconvenience during your selfish vacation it is about time we start put our people’s needs first rather than our problem’s needs.

I am very saddened by this news. I spend much vacation time on MV and have for many decades now. The drive from OB to Aquinnah to take in the view of the cliffs is something I find spectacular. Never ever tire of it.
This construction will ruin this area.
