Murder at Oklahoma Casino Parking Garage Leads to Arrest

A man was killed Sunday evening in the parking garage at Oklahoma’s Choctaw Casino & Resort-Durant. Antonio Anthony Latham, 20, of Gunter, Texas, was apprehended shortly after the violent crime.
Latham was charged with first-degree murder, according to Oklahoma TV station KXII.?The victim was identified as Phillip Wingfield, 51, Oklahoma TV station KFOR reported.
The homicide took place in the casino’s Sky Tower parking garage at about 6:30 p.m..
Suspect Behind Bars
Latham was booked at Oklahoma’s Bryan County Jail on Sunday night. He remained in custody as of Monday afternoon and will likely soon appear in court.
The accused murderer and the victim reportedly were the only ones involved in the confrontation. It’s unknown why the two got into a dispute and it’s not known what weapon, if any, was used in the homicide.
The victim likely will undergo an autopsy by a local medical examiner to confirm his identity and the manner and cause of death.
Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department is investigating the homicide along with the officers assigned to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Homicide detectives reviewed surveillance video from the casino to see if there was any relevant evidence, and looked for possible witnesses linking the suspect to the crime.
The Choctaw Casino is located about 91 miles north of Dallas, Texas and is operated by the Choctaw Nation.
