We went to the foxtail concert series thingy a couple weeks ago. Tried to see The Wailers. Huge line and VERY extensive search for drugs. They confiscated my chewing gum. The show was supposed to start at 8 and at 9:30 there was no sign of anything happening. No one had any information as to when the show was going to start. One security guard told me “They are rock stars. They go on when they want to’
I understand they want to delay going on so they can sell more $16 vodka/pineapple drinks but geesh!
We left and did not see the show.

Maybe they should spend less time on 3-D ducks and more on making the place a destination. Place bored me silly the one (and only) time I’ve been there. Tight slots, expensive drinks, and a venue or restaurant closing seemingly monthly do not a successful resort make.

SLS needs to make some big changes.Too many closings and not enough openings. They should be catering to locals until the north strip improves with the opening of Resorts World. If they can hold on until then they will be ok. They might not have deep enough pockets for that.

Interesting updates. Quick note: I had per month casino revenue at a little over $3M. (9.1 / 3 for quarterly rev.). 4 quarters, three months per quarter. To add to your breakdown though, with casino operating expenses at about $8.2M, they only netted about $29,000 per month in the casino. Yeesh.
