I can’t vouch for all these awards. But there’s no question SNS is the best showroom/live entertainment venue in Las Vegas, as well as Best Bar Food, Best Burger and Best Chicken Wings/Tenders. Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood swear by the place, at least so it seems. It’s hard to understand what they’re saying, because their mouths are usually stuffed with burgers and chicken tenders when they’re there.

As someone who once owned a newspaper in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles, but we don’t like to admit that we are in LA), I can confirm that “Best of Awards” are a huge revenue generator. About a quarter of our annual advertising revenue would come from the “Best of” edition. We even took it a step further than the RJ and had a Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Editor’s Choice winner. Yes, four opportunities to get advertising.

This article is absolute truth. RJ gives wins for advertising buy. The more you place the higher the win, then asked to buy badges for website and to use on TV or billboard advertising. The votes are employees. At one time, a long time ago this was actually a look forward to part of the paper, with voters sending in votes or email (before electronic voting) with public picking winners and expert or invited guest to give their choices. Now as all can see, restaurants are micro categorized, business and attorneys who try to out spend each other in so many categories, it’s truly laughable. The attorney Farhan Naqvi boasting that he has “won” so many that he wants others to benefit from winning but now “Sponsoring”, come on, ridiculous! I looked at his website and all the accolades listed are all bought. People do not realize this and fall for the bought hype. That goes for all the restaurants listed. This is a big money maker for the newspaper, as readership is a tiny fraction of what it once was.

Vital Vegas is a hip.cool and informative Blog that most people can’t wait to get into their inbox! If you take offense to ‘shitshow” and WTF” you obviously should not be a reader of it. By the way The Best of Vegas is bullshit and anyone that sees these crazy picks they have published knows this. I mean come on “Tahiti Village Pool? That is most the most WTF ever!! Makes one wonder if the Review Journal even bothers to read these because a “real journalist” certainly would not have gone with these crazy picks for Best Of Las Vegas.
I know first hand of companies that have paid employees and friends to vote for them so it is most definitely a true “shitshow”!

Surely, businesses realize when the Vegas public is mocking them (and the LVRJ). I mean, I’ve eaten at both of these restaurants. Andres doesn’t have anything to worry about in second place.
