I live right up the street at the Veer Towers. I agree what did they build a major speedway with a road course and then decide to run on the streets. I’ll have a great view of the F1 race but I’d rather go to the speedway than put up with all the race prep and deprep (is that a word)

Find something real to complain about like our shitty schools and public transport. This theoretically brings tax money in to fund those real problems, if only the city would spend it right.

Interesting from a Government paperwork point of view. LVBlvd is State of Nevada highway. Somewhere under the grandstands it becomes Clark County and somewhere else under the grandstands it’s MGM. Now I’m not saying every freaking utility in Vegas runs under Las Vegas Blvd, but every freaking utility runs under LVBlvd. Grandstands are held up by caissons (probably) Utilities have to be out of the way (Add months to time frame) or designed for (add months to time frame)

Get over it. Formula 1 is going to be HUGE for all hotels and our city!!! Not to mention, the grandstands, with the Bellagio fountains as a backdrop…super hella BAD ASS!!! You REALLY think the grandstands should be faced towards the hotel and away from the “track”??? Do you really NOT understand why they are turned that way? And the hotel rooms will be able to clearly see over and beyond those grandstands. I am just in shock over the extent of whining in this article.

I wonder if this same guy is going to cry about how how Cegas is transformed into NFL Central, when the National Felons League comes to town in February 2024?!?! Hmmmmmm???????

In reply to Kyle W. I’ve read all the comments and none I’ve read are from anyone that actually follows and loves F-1. I live here in Vegas and yes I’m excited to see it here. Have any of you been to Monaco when there wasn’t a race? I’ve been there and their city didn’t crumble. Let’s embrace this because millions in the world will be watching. And yes, the hotels will be sold out. Uber and Lyft overloaded. For anyone that says it’s an affront to the beautiful fountains. Seriously? Vegas was built on the money of tourists.
