That greedy woman, who took over the Horseshoe and ran it into the ground, was stupid to take that money. Pure Greed. $1 Million to mere mortals, like most of us on this thread, is a lot of $. To the truly rich $1 Million is not that much. The display of the $1 Million, in $10,000 bills (that are not even made anymore), was far more valuable than $1 Million cash in the foot traffic and casino patrons it brought into the property. It would be like someone removing the golden nuggets from the Golden Nugget, and those aren’t nearly as associated with the property as the original $1 million was with Binion’s Horseshoe.
