That’s a very nuanced and intelligent response there, Lee. Thanks for adding your piercing insight to the conversation.
]]>So you’re going to whine about people whining? Makes you a whiner too….LOLOLOL
]]>No. By definition anything you “get” in exchange for a resort fee must either be worthless, or something you would expect to be included in the price of a room anyway.
]]>Thanks, Jeff. You’re the one who got it. “)
]]>Wynn pulled the trigger. Valet will no longer be free.
]]>Maybe they’ll just stay home and stop complaining about how expensive the strip is, like that’s some sort of new revelation. Red Rock, M, Aliante etc. would be happy to take your money and I’d be happy to stop hearing you whine.
]]>This won’t make much difference to us because we haven’t been to the strip in a long time. The last time was for a not-very-memorable Poker tournament at Harrah’s about 3 years ago, and we parked at the back of the Linq to ride the high roller last year; but we have no plans to go back there, or to any strip casino, any time soon.
If the Rio remains free, at least we can still go up for the WSOP. For that, we usually stay at Orleans or Gold Coast, where parking remains free and the resort fee includes the wifi. If that changes, we’ll just have to find somewhere else.
I was a Las Vegas regular for nearly 50 years, going two or three times per year since 1969. These days we usually go to Laughlin or the Phoenix-area casinos instead, or even the Los Angeles card rooms. Almost everything that I enjoyed about Las Vegas has disapperared.
