As others have said, the perks and the gaming have gotten worse. I gamble in both AC and Vegas. At least in Atlantic City we still have the Diamond (cough Laurel) and Seven Stars Lounges.
Would I pay for special privileges? I guess it depends what they are. As a Seven Star I already am paying one way or another for my status. And I pay for premium tier credit cards, VIP entry and other things that save me time and make my life more convenient… so again, what does this paid tier get me that Seven doesn’t? My biggest fear is what does the paid tier take away from players who actually earned their status?

CET was better before the merger. Now for how we play, MGM has taken the lead and more of our business.

The truth is, they haven’t had to because the patrons have refused to say no to hiked costs, reduced gaming perks, reduced hotel and dining service quality and quantity, and the rest of the downgrades. It’s all partially our fault as customers for refusing to give them our time and money to play and/or visit.

We don’t know if this loyalty tier for a fee will be instituted and we don’t know what the specific parameters might be (costs, length of terms, degree of value?); if recent history is any indicator, I think we can rest assured that customer value or player friendliness will not be the intended priority. It never has been since the El Dorado merger.

It’s just getting worse with no real rewards. Table games prices are soo high you can’t even play for the night and really enjoy yourself without having a fluid couple of thousands at hand. The machines are also less and less likely to hit. It sucks, then they push their credit card on you to accrued rewards which some partake to get rewards faster. So now I spend my money and time on good food and entertainment.

Leave it to Caesars (actually they are Harrrah’s of old) to come up with another way to fleece their patrons. People get the “free” stuff at the higher tiers and conveniently forget they have paid one way or another, so the freebies are not free. Be honest with yourself and those you brag to, the free rooms, limo rides and meals come from something you’ve given Caesars, like your gambling.

I go to Vegas a few times each year but I barely gamble at all. Prior to Covid, I was normally Diamond level at CET from dining, pool, spa, salon, and resort expenses. I enjoy the front of the line privileges at restaurants and taxi stands. The diamond check-in area was a bonus too. It’s also helps to get reservations at the pool, salon, spas, and restaurants. I might consider this option.

The value would need to be such that it makes a trip to Vegas extra special. I also play at some casinos outside of Vegas, and when I do, I specifically look for Caesars owned or aligned properties, specifically for the tier credits and RCs.

Regarding Caesar’s Diamond, it’s been sold for a while through credit cards. I got a Wyndham card (95$ AF) just so I could get Diamond and then match everywhere else… That was a great deal.
This year I played to earn it, just 6 hours of video poker on 5x day. That said, I realized you don’t get much for Diamond aside from waived resort fees. The best part for me though was 20% off an NCL cruise. For that Perk alone I’ll continue to keep diamond.

It gets you unlimited free self parking.

Upgrading to Diamond is worth at least $100. You get an annual $100 celebration dinner credit at any of their restaurants.

Skip the line and get seated right away at the Bacchanal buffet without a reservation. And when you pay with comps you don’t pay sales tax.

Also free valet parking, worth up to $30 a day.

Discounted room rates and pay no resort fee at any Caesars resort. Free monthly tickets for two are now only available for the High Roller wheel.
