To myself and my husband, these are selfish people who simply want to partake in the debauchery, but are too cheap and/or daft to leave their kids with a sitter. Regardless of the few “kid friendly” things to do, these innocents are no doubt exposed to layers and layers of adult content and concepts along the way. Also, I go to Vegas to escape the annoyances of reality, and that includes strollers and little kids. I shouldn’t have to walk out to a club in a mini skirt with little bitty eyes following me, and they shouldn’t witness it either. We noticed the change when Vegas opened up a bit during the pandemic, with thousands of people using their stimulus checks to push their kids around the opened casinos. And as we know, once someone creates normalcy around a gross situation, much like taking selfies, the green light for Vegas to be a family vacation destination was turned on. I applaud casinos that refuse the too young — chances are, these parents are NOT the kind of patrons your establishment should want, or need, anyway. We just went to Vegas for my husband’s birthday, and it’s SO disturbing to dodge little kids on the casino floors so late at night. We crossed over to the other side of the strip, and passed two girls in pasties handing out party flyers. Is this what you want your children to see, along with trudging down the sex-streaked, loud, bright, crowded, germ-filled halls and streets? It’s insane. All of Vegas is complicit in this demise of society if they let this continue. And to parents who convince themselves it’s okay to bring your kids to the strip and it’s immediate surroundings, shame on you, and I feel sorry for your children.

I made the choice to be child-free in life, I want the same choice in my vacations to my favorite happy place. It’s insane to me that people want to bring their kids to Vegas when there are more than plenty of 100% kid-centered family attractions everywhere across the country, and in other countries! I wouldn’t set foot in Disneyland/World or Six Flags or Universal Studios because I can’t stand kids, that’s not my jam. Vegas IS my jam, but when I’m trying to chill in a resort pool while a bunch of screaming, splashing and PEEING hellions whose parents are completely checked out are ruining the experience, I’ma be more than a wee bit pissed. If you insist on bringing the fruit of your loins to Vegas, STAY YOUR FAMILY ASSES at Circus Circus and leave the rest of the city to the adults, please.

Kids should not be in casinos, bars, clubs, most shows, etc. I have not brought my kids to Vegas yet, but I will take them to see Area 15 (Omega Mart), eat at Sugar Factory, then get out of the city.

Keep your love trophies at Disney, thanks….

Go to Disneyland with kids, Vegas is for grown ups.

So WHY would anyone bring a child to that environment? I think many of them just can’t afford to leave their children with sitters for a day or two. Would probably cost more than Vegas.

I can tell you without a doubt that I have been bothered far, far less by people coming with their children as I have been bothered by drunk “frat bros.” Please continue bringing your kids and providing jobs and revenue in the local economy. Just, please, do so responsibly. Bad parents will be bad parents whether they’re in Seattle or Vegas or Ft. Lauderdale.

If you want a family vacation, go somewhere else please.

Plenty for us to do as a family during the day. Hoover Dam, Red Rock, Circus Circus Adventuredome, Mandalay Bay pool, etc…At night they were fine staying in the room, eating room service and playing video games while Mom and I had adult fun. It was a great time and it gave them the love of Vegas that they have to this day.
