Some of the tokens were .999 silver, will there not be any of those again? I love playing the Silver Strike machines, and tried my luck on getting the .999 silver ones. I got 3, one week before the machines were pulled. Better hang on to those!

Well, They are doing nothing to lure those from the strip and locals, so I am not surprised. Back in it’s heyday, The Rio used two fabulous buffets and the show in the sky. As a local, I would rather go to the Palms where they have a great buffet, a movie theater and a great atmosphere. What is the Rio counting on? An overpriced food hall. In my one visit about two months after Dreamscape took over, we lost about $400. Not surprising to lose money but I was insulted by a e-mail offering me $5 free-play about a month after.

I have been collecting (mostly Vegas) strikes for 25 years, and love that the 4 Queens is still making the effort to put these fun machines on the gaming floor. Not only are they collectable, but fun to trade (our purchase on eBay or local pawn shops if you need more).
Some of the colorized strikes from the 4Queens are my favorites, and I also treasure the older silver ones from long gone casinos like the Riviera or the frontier.

Steve Martin is one funny comedian. I hadn’t realized until I looked him up on the Wiki he’s won awards for fiction writing, Grammy’s for Bluegrass music and a slew of critics awards for plays. Awards in almost all the arts, except for pole dancing as far as I know. I thought he was just a cat juggler.
