Too bad. Nomad is our go to place to stay. It seemed to take some time to get traction, im there at the end of June. It’ll be our farewell stay. With the Marriott partnership, having a Hilton brand wouldn’t fly.

You do know that NoMad Las Vegas (and Hotel32 before it) has ALL of the Park MGM’s suites, right? Why don’t those top four floors just get absorbed back into the regular room count of the Park MGM? For some reason, the number of rooms in the infobox of the Park MGM’s Wikipedia article has its room count listed as 2.700, thereby excluding the 293 units of NoMad (a reason why I’ve called that portion of Park MGM “YesMad” a few times in the past LOL).

We enjoy staying at the NoMad. The reason usually is the deal we get through MGM. Maybe being in a non-smoking hotel hurts it??

I don’t know about type of clientele but Nomad’s weekend room rates are usually more then Aria and Bellagio so seems like they have been doing OK.

Stayed once at Nomad and once at Park MGM. The Nomad room appeared to have been renovated much more recently. Otherwise, there didn’t seem to be much difference. Better view from the top floors certainly. Elevators dump you into the same depressing lobby. Being smoke free is pretty much all this hotel has going for it. And you’re right across from T-Mobile for UFC, hockey or a concert.

Considering MGM is now aligned with Marriott brands, I would be surprised if they stay with a Hilton brand, then again wasn’t MGM with Hyatt at one point? Just throwing spaghetti.

If NoMad Las Vegas wasn’t part of the sale to Hilton, then I would guess the rebrand would not be done by Hilton, nor be to a Hilton brand, correct?

The original NoMad deal with MGM explicitly carved it out of any ability to transfer it, because MGM didn’t want it being sold from underneath them. But the Four Seasons does the best job of “hotel within a hotel,” to the point where the “within” isn’t much more than a physical description of where the rooms sit. Distinct building, driveway, lobby, F&B, pool, if you didn’t know that the rooms are physically in the Mandalay tower, you wouldn’t know it wasn’t a standalone hotel. Contrast with Nobu, which was very weird. NoMad is somewhere in between, but it’s pretty clear it’s “in” Park MGM.

NoMad Las Vegas probably wasn’t included in the deal because of MGM’s partnership with Marriott. There is no way MGM could have a Hilton property within it’s group. MGM/Dubai World sold the Waldorf in 2018. I would expect the NoMad to become a Marriott brand. Maybe W, Autograph Collection, Le Meridien, or Luxury Collection.
