Im excited to see this, maybe it bridges the gap behind the Fremont to DTG/Pizza Rock. One thing i’m wondering about.. will the city clean the sidewalks back there? I was there in the fall and ogden was filthy. Trash, vomit, etc all over. It smelled downright terrible. I’m not sure why a tourist area would smell worse than NYC.

This is a great move on Boyd’s part and should benefit them. Many downtown patrons are budget/value focused and don’t eat every meal at a sit-down restaurant/gourmet room. Boyd just gave those people a ton of reasons to come in, get some food, and drop a few bucks into their machines. Cool thing is this adds to the other budget downtown quick serve options such as McDonalds and Coney Island at the D, Pizza Rock, and Chick Filla at Golden Nugget. Hopefully Boyd doesn’t put a pizza place in since that is covered by Evil Pie and Pizza Rock. BTW, the video you posted was great – gave a nice view/insight for those of us who don’t live in Vegas or get to go as often as we like. Happy Holidays Scott – Hope all is well!

Hopefully the renovations will eventually get to their rooms, like at the Cal. In the last two years I’ve migrated from the DTG, to the Cal as my downtown base after their upgrade, due to 1) having a lot of fun at the California & feeling very comfortable, & 2) Downtown Grand stopping any decent offers. Boyd has really stepped up their game. Now I just hope they realize what an amazingly beautiful and iconic property they have in Main Street Station and won’t let it waste away.
