I always thought it was one of the dumpiest downtown so I’m glad to see it cleaned up.

Pretty much impossible.

Totally agree about the old buffet being missed but so much has changed since I first started visiting Vegas.
Paid parking being my top ” refuse to do thing” .

Had some good times at the Fremont back in the 1990’s. Haven’t been back anywhere downtown since 2013 because I refuse to pay for parking. Go ahead, call me a cheap [derogatory epithet deleted]; feel better now?
Off-topic but FWIW, just returned from three days at a certain Southern “off-strip” property, two of them comped. First time staying there. Total for the one non-comped day including all taxes and fees, less than $100. Very bright and clean, free valet, good sushi, good hot dogs, good Mexican, good poker room, and good VP. Came home lighter both gravimetrically and financially; but a good time was had by all. They’re definitely on our “return-to” list, which is now pretty short. Never left the building, so didn’t have to deal with the “Pre-F-1” construction except coming and going. Swung by Sphere on the way out of town for a look-see (“Yes, dear….”). Very impressive even in the daytime; but no plans to go there at the moment. Cheers and best wishes.

Seafood night was the BEST value in Vegas. I wonder how many customers are now former customers?

Big mistake getting rid of Fremont buffet, was a nice buffet. Garden Court buffet at Main street hotel isn’t so good .

Imagine walking in the place in a drunken stooper right off of Freemont Street. That would be a shocker to say the least.

I stayed downtown this past August and played at ate at all three Boyd properties. Main Street station went from having a decent buffet and a decent price to what I think is now the worst in all of the hotel buffets in Las Vegas. Dreadful food at a price that has doubled pre Covid. The Fremont was just getting it’s final touches in August and really looked good, though all of the five cent video poker machines that I had enjoyed playing are now history. The food court looked nice, but there is no value in it’s pricing. And I must say I really miss their buffet, especially on seafood night. I did eat at Lanai Express and found their Chinese food awful. Their famous shrimp cocktail has also more then doubled in price. The only Boyd property I did enjoy was at the California. They still have the games I like to play and their coffee shop has tasty reasonably priced food. Fremont looks GREAT, but I won’t be playing or eating there!
