I absolutely love this show. I have a performance background and I get tired of seeing the same acrobatic numbers over and over. Same skill different contraption. It doesn’t wow me. This show wasn’t about death defying stunts. It’s just a feeling. Innocence and hope and perseverance and despair. Whether the creators intended to or not, it made you feel something. I find it quite poetic. I’m sad it’s gone.

In reply to Sherri. That sounds about right. The DeLaGuarda/Fuerza Bruta creators aren't interesting in creating anything other than a spectacle. When one of their shows was here in South Florida, I was ready go until I heard one of the producers on TV basically saying there's no meaning behind any of their shows. They are just empty acts signifying nothing.

Saw this. Pretty much hated it. The RJ guy called some of the performers “acrobats.” Nope. People swinging around in harnesses are not acrobats. No ambiance, just a lot of loud music, constant strobe lights and craning your neck. I think most of the people who said they liked it suffer from the-emeroror’s-fine-clothes syndrome.

I was “this close” to buying tickets to see Fuerza Bruta for an upcoming trip. It looked like a really cool show, but I was on the fence because I wasn’t sure I wanted to be jostled in a crowd from one side of the room to the other for an hour. In the end, I decided not to bite.

No matter what Vegas thinks about itself, it’s not really that forward thinking/avant garde. Neither are its visitors. Hence the constant replication of one thing that works until it’s completely overdone. Another Cirque show/night club with one syllable name/shopping arcade in front of a hotel/pool party/CVS pharmacy anyone? Now that’s more like it.

In reply to GlennT. It's actually produced by the same people that did DeLaGuarda and is very similar. These were actually two of my favorite shows I've ever seen in Vegas. However, I think something so unique needs time to build an audience and unfortunately neither show was given the opportunity.

This show looks a lot like the show “De La Guarda” that was at the Rio back in 2000/2001. That show seemed to come and go from the Rio in a short amount of time also. At that show, the audience stood in the middle of a large open room and the performers dangled from cables and bungee cords above the audience the entire show. I remember leaving the show dripping wet because the performers would splash water all over the audience during their performance. It was interesting, but definitely not a show for everybody.

Went to this show 2 weeks ago and am sorry to see it close. It was an awesome production and I would have gone at least 3-4 more times during the 6 month run. Now, I have to see if I can make some time to see it again this weekend.
