The world’s tallest observation wheel, the High Roller at The Linq in Las Vegas, has reached yet another milestone. The wheel has had all its supports, called “radial struts,” removed.
Removing the struts means the High Roller is ready to move to its next stage, the installation of 28 passenger cabins, or “pods.”
Each passenger cabin will hold about 40 people, and each will weigh 44,000 pounds. The cabins, not the people. Unless they’ve hit a couple of Las Vegas buffets beforehand, of course.
