I haven’t read any of the previous replies but I can say that there’s absolutely no restaurant in Las Vegas better than Joe’s. I’ve lived here forever and tried just about everyplace but still go back here at least twice every month. And…. John Lucas is my personal server! He’s amazing – as are most of the servers at Joe’s. he’s been working there for right around 20 years and is consider one of the new guys LOL.

The entire menu is great but I still order the same thing every time: Chopped Salad, Filet, Lyonnaise Potatoes, Steamed Asparagus or Creamed Spinach, Key Lime pie – which is always local comped, and of course a bottle of wine. Give it a try if you enjoy a good meal. It also costs about 60-70% of the price of the more “name” steak houses in town like STK or Cut. I’ve sent hundreds of people here and never had a single person complain or not like it – the food and service are ridiculously consistent and the location and valet are really nice.

Yes, and “Big Bang Theory” is one of the funniest shows in history…as it’s highly rated! I looked at that list and, well, though there are a few good ones on there ahead of Joe’s…there is also…Outback (twice), Texas de Brazil, Fogo de Chao, Morton’s, Ruth’s Chris, etc. So, that’s fine, more for me.

In reply to alex. Alex, your post is spot on regarding trip advisor reviews. Need to triangulate whatever is on TA with other sources of info. I want to try Joe’s for sure, based on great comments I’ve heard from friends. Plus how many places actually have banana cream pie?

To each her or his own, but the problem with Trip Advisor is that there’s no baseline. Too few reviews provide context. That means you don’t know if “best steak I’ve ever had” was from someone who typically gets their steak from Outback Steakhouse or from (insert the name of a very high end steakhouse because I don’t eat steak).

I don’t know if it holds for restaurants, but lots of Trip Advisor reviewers conflate price with quality when it comes to hotels. They bash a limited service hotel simply because they’re staying during a high demand period and paying a lot. Or, they’ll lower a rating at a full-service hotel because it doesn’t include the “free” breakfast they got at the Hampton Inn they stayed at on their last road trip to a national park.

In reply to Lewintn. Actually, it's all the hundreds of TA reviewers who, in total, rate two dozen other places as better. Of course, some have given Joe's excellent reviews, as well. Strength in numbers.

I rarely do steak/seafood in Vegas. If I’m putting out that kinda jack, tripadvisor rates more then two dozen steakhouses better. So I probably won’t do Joe’s, except for maybe the Key lime pie.

Easily one of the top three all around restaurants. Their steaks will give any top steakhouse in town a serious run for their money.

Orgasm on a plate doesn’t really make me want to eat cream pie.

Joe’s is absolutely outstanding! It’s amazing that your review was so strong considering you didn’t even have two of the best three items on the menu – the stone crab claws for appetizer and the key lime pie for dessert. The key lime pie is literally the best there is.
