They have no shuttle bus to steal people away from the Orleans casino, Orleans has no Buffett they are very cheap no Buffett no shuttle bus…people would love to eat there also palms movie house. Is cheaper $5 dollar. Orleans is $6.25…palms sports book has no racing..that is very bad..I am a local I have watch all the palms with different owners it is very small casino… it must fix the sports book have all seats like it was before and must have racing to survive to get people there people like horse racing and you don’t have any that attracts people and have women service drinks at the sports book too because I can’t see this casino surviving another year or two the way it is now I’m a local I go to all these casinos and it doesn’t look good I watch all the casinos change owners over the years you have to attract locals I go to The Orleans and I they don’t have a lot of places where you can eat and they all would love a buffet you got to get people to the Palms with a shuttle bus and alarm with the buffets and the rooms you go way better rooms than the Orleans

Through all the palms ownerships, none of them have been able to overcome the seedy element, that grows like mold from the parking lot to the restrooms. Last time I was there, I was confronted by three seedy people before I even got inside the property. Good luck

MrBuzzKill asks the $66,000 question: Can Palms survive without locals. And YES, a very fair question. About 50% of the Palms business will be from Los Angeles. The San Manuel rolodex. A place to park their customers in Las Vegas. The other 50% will be locals, something original Owner George Maloof was an expert on. Palms is a beautiful product, but for the property to be successful they need local business. And Station Casinos, Boyd Gaming and Golden Entertainment are very strong competitors.

In reply to Michael Alexakis. I've already booked the Red Rock for later this month, but have enjoyed playing at the Palms in the past. I play where I stay, but the Palms VP was just updated. Only 3 machines over 100%, and all are highly volatile DB. So while I considered switching to the Palms, I won't be doing so, with the lousy odds.

The Palms Director of Hotel Operations, Brandon Beach, is a wool-dyed Vegas native son who worked at several top Strip resorts. He’s a local’s local. Steeped in the biz. Knows everybody here. And yet, he had never been to the Palms before the San Manuel Band bought the place and hired him. If the Brandons of Las Vegas and other LV natives never bothered with Palms in their entire lives, why would we all go now? I think that’s a fair question.
