RIO DOES CARE ABOUT IT’S GUEST THEY MAKE 40 MILLION DOLLARS ON THE POKER…THEY ARE A CHEAP COMPANY THE HOTEL IS A DUMP NOW…NO NORE SHUTTLE THEY WILL POCKET MORE MONEY…NO NEED TO GO THERE.
]]>The round Bar with the stage in the center was always full, as they watch the lounge act appear and disappear. The mardi gras show in the sky delighted thousands of visitors and kept the slots spinning.
Caesar’s management has killed the world famous Carnival World Buffet. Caesar’s closed the seafood buffet and developed a $20 “Sea Food” upgrade scam. $57 is more than Caesar’s is charging for their decent Bacchanal buffet.
The parking in Rio, is less than 40% full, with few parking in the back lot garage or vast open lots. But I guess Caesar’s did not want any one using the new tower section that is almost empty 24 hours a day. Last time I visited that section where it was impossible to find an open slot machine there were two slot players. No, mardi gras show in the sky, and no visitors for the once good restaurants that thronged that area of the casino.
Shuttle service for what, the great Penn and Teller Show for people going off strip, and a few people trying to avoid the nonsense parking fees.
Yep, Ed & Mike L. locals do not visit the Strip as often because of the outlandish parking fees. Hope the MGM board is happy for cheating the system and creating parking fees. MGM should have built the required county required parking for their new arena because it is the parking fees I believe will be the straw that break the camel’s back in the long run.

]]>This is really late, but my husband and I are in wheelchairs and had to take that bridge at night– we’ve wheeled just about everywhere and in questionable areas, but that was genuinely scary. It’s way out of the way, NO lighting, NO way for cops to easily get to you if anything goes down.
Unfortunately, being a disabled couple, lyft and uber are really not that convenient, so we are often stuck with the bus, taxis or paratransit. Losing a shuttle is no good.

]]>It can be a ‘big deal’ for those that are physically challanged, no matter what the weather.
]]>Would not recommend walking at night. That pedestrian bridge next to the freeway attracts it fair share of the down and out.
