Crazy that the FB will be opening soon and these towers will be gone. For years I have looked at these as the bookends of the Strip.

When someone gets an idea to build something like this they should be required to put up a bond or some other financial amount into escrow that the city holds. Then if the construction does not get completed and is abandoned the money in the escrow account is forfeited as a penalty. At least that might ferret out the people/companies that don’t have adequate financing and it would help pay part of the cost for the city to hire a demolition company to remove the eyesore.
