Saltgrass is a chain, of course, but there are none near us. We have dined at Saltgrass in Las Vegas once, and in Laughlin twice. We enjoyed all three meals, and will return in the future. For downtown LV, the quality is equal to Hugo’s, and the prices a little better, although Hugo’s wins in ambiance. The carrot cake is indeed, worth the price of admission.

In reply to Rich. I agree. Saltgrass Laughlin is a great place to have some drinks and share an appetizer at the bar with a (sort of) good view of the river. We just got back from Laughlin this afternoon and would have gone to Saltgrass but it didn't open until 4:00 PM on Tuesdays. Wound up at Bubba Gump's instead.

Landry’s owns both V&A and Saltgrass, so having both options @ GN is logical. People can try Saltgrass in Vegas, return home and find one near home.

When we are in Laughlin, the Saltgrass at the Golden Nugget has always been our go to steakhouse. Good food, consistent quality and reasonable prices. And by the way, don’t dismiss Laughlin. It’s a nice place to visit.
