I stayed @ hotel in August 2022. There was a Star Trek Convention during my stay. I’d say it would have been a dull stay without them in their apparel. Hotel had two kiosks. One would always be down after a certain point of time in the evening. Not sure if I’ll stay at Horseshoe if I stay in 2023. May start looking @ MGM properties. At least when you exit hotel, you can exit off to a side street. Flamingo Rd. But don’t get a room on that side if you’re a light sleeper. Noise for cop cars and other emergency vehicles will keep you up. Learned that from a pre 2022 stay @ hotel.

If it’s true that arcade games net as much as slots, I’ll look forward to a proliferation of arcades across the Strip for older players, not just collections of gatcha and ticket vending machines. I’d spend a lot more time in the casinos if they had decent arcades!

Dave and Buster’s pioneered this concept years ago, basically turning a Chuck E. Cheese into an adult arcade.
(Wasn’t there an arcade over near MGM?)
Bally’s is near Circus Circus, right?
Instead of money, you win tickets.
Kinda like a casino loyalty card?

Now, like Pachinko, will there be a black market for those game cards, where you can exchange them for cash?

Conventioneers at the G2E echoed your sentiments about sports book profits. It’s also uncomfortable when the casino has to rely on sharps to tune their lines. Arcades may not do the total revenue of slots, but they don’t have to payout 93% of their take and they’re not taxed at wager rates either. So, the net haul might not be far off.
