When I lived in Vegas in the 1990s I went occasionally to The Continental and saw Cook E. Jarr perform and he was an entertaining lounge singer who wore lots of fake gold jewelry. Good times and good luck to the Continental.

I stayed there several times back around the turn of the century when it was still Terribles, once or twice going up from LA without even a reservation; but I don’t think I’ve been back since about 2003. Judging by the comments here, I haven’t missed much. I remember they had comfortable rooms, a nice pool, good BJ and VP, and a passable small buffet; but now it sounds like they’re in the grips of “Bottom-Line Fixation.” I even heard they put on a resort fee. Too bad.

What name are they going to choose that will knock my socks off or grab my attention? Wild Cherries Casino? The C? The S?

I first visited Vegas in ’97, when the Continental was still a thing, and I didn’t know it existed, because I thought the strip was the most important thing in Vegas. I’m sure there are old timers who remember it fondly, and still live in SoCal, and might still visit Vegas all these years later. No matter what they call it, it’s not going to draw a groundswell of visitors for the property’s past glory, or future promises. The only way the former Terrible’s casino is going to really excite anyone is if they change the name to Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, but I hear that’s taken.

Silver Sevens has advertising throughout the property that states Platinum and GM cardholders get free cruises.
They gave me a number to call. Called in and was told no certificate had been issued. Go back to host and told you don’t qualify.
There is no asterisk stating must meet qualifications.
Called director of marketing. Won’t call me back.

They also don’t let you play your free play on many if the machines depsite earning that free play on those machines.

Paranoid bunch running that place at least prior to Covid. Refused to honor offers and canceled my points earned during a multiplier day. Can’t say I’d be excited to give them any future play no matter what their name is.
