There will be a tournament token (.999 fine 3oz), banquet, trade session and all of the normal activities except the Silver Strike Slots are not back on the floor yet. But as you reported, they will be back.

Oblivious to Silver Strikes until about 15 years ago, and a big fan ever since. It’s a shame that casinos got rid of these machines. Guess what, not everything that’s new and flashy is automatically popular. Sometimes a throwback to yesterday will bring in more customers willing to spend a solid chunk of change playing a machine they like. I’m not holding my breath that any MGM or Caesars property would re-introduce SS machines at any of their casinos, but what about the Palms, Rio, Circus Circus, the other downtown casinos. Same for Station and Boyd properties (although getting Boyd to spend a nickel on anything is a pipe dream), South Point, Rampart, and the others I have a feeling that if Circa placed a few of these on the casino floor, they would be very surprised at how popular the machines would be.

The machine with the ceramic pot (the Silver Strike Machine that WAS there) is my favourite to play…I call it “the elevator machine” & have spent long hours playing in this very spot. I love the hobby of collecting Strikes & all the folks I’ve met in the Club over the years have become great friends & some even like family. The Strike Machines are the reason I began visiting Las Vegas from Canada 3 times per year rather than once. The Four Queens staff are amazing & the Casino brings you down memory lane to what casinos used to be like back in the old Vegas days. You gotta love Fremont Street if you enjoy that old nostalgia. Can’t wait to continue playing the Strike Machines at Four Queens when they’re back!!!! Happy collecting!
