This is awesome, thanks!
]]>Agreed. It gets even more complicated the deeper you go. A lot of these partnerships are across brands, so it gets freaky confusing.
]]>It’s true. Worth a cab ride, though, especially if one hasn’t been there yet. Lots of changes in the works.
]]>Great points, but I like SLS, so I’m not sure it needs any lipstick. It could use better management, so with SBE out, we’ll see what happens next.
]]>Las Vegas already had established hotels that appeal to the same demographic as W Hotels. I’d say that boulder steve is correct to point out location. Getting those people to abandon the Cosmopolitan or the Cromwell to take up residence at SLS is nothing more than wishful thinking.
Additionally, Starwood already partners with CET properties through the Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) loyalty program. So, when looking for a luxury hotel in Las Vegas, why would a SPG member choose the W at SLS over Nobu or one of the nicer Caesars Palace towers? Other than the fact that SLS will be cheaper, I can’t see many reasons to pick the new W.
