Too bad about ?the Plaza. Thought after ?the remodel things would turn around.I agree they got screwed when FSE built that zipline structure it almost completely blocks ?the view of ?the hotel from Fremont. Hopefully they can turn
Things around.One thing they should do is close and sell ?the Vegas Club across ?the street it is a eyesore that hurts other business in that area including ?the plaza

And you know the saddest part? As terrible as all this is, it’s a vast improvement over the pre-remodel Plaza.

Hash House a-go-go is still worth a visit.

In reply to FYMYAWF. I have a nice head of hair, and I won't go to a $50 chop shop. But I did venture up to floor 2 of the Plaza some time ago. The salon wasn't in a high traffic area. Most people wandering into the Plaza would never know it is there, because they'd never go upstairs unless they planned to play bingo. And let's be honest, most bingo players aren't the clientele that would patronize Exposed.

Jeez, we kinda liked the biergarten. Had a couple sausages n buns, I had a GREAT fruit beer, and hubby had idunno, some other kinda beer, which was declared a success. Out in the hot sun, grass under our feet, feeling a bit smug watching the other suckers trudge along the asphalt WITHOUT a beer and a sausage!

I’ve never been downtown and after reading articles like this I may never go. Those photos are hilarious…I mean that “poker room” and “event space”? And I love me some jerky, but there was literally NO sexier retailer that wanted to go in that space? Not even (god forbid) a Starbucks? Yeesh. I know downtown is cheaper and less “touristy” but you have to have SOMETHING to draw people away from the Strip…this ain’t it.

I visited the Plaza in 2011 and wandered over to check out the lingerie-clad dealers. I ran from the casino with my retinas nearly burned away. Plaza=Yuck.

The Plaza is dead — might as well. With the new zip line platform on Fremont, you can hardly see it as you are walking down the street. If you go see Louie Anderson, there is no one there. Their big project of a beer garden is ‘meh.’ If you walk into their casino on a Saturday night, it is hardly full compared to The D Casino or the Golden Nugget.

When you walk out of their property, you feel like you need to shower.

It’s mismanaged and dead. SHOOT IT.
