If a different site for that stadium is opted for by the A’s, what else will go on the Tropicana’s site? I know how much of the Tropicana’s site an MLB stadium will take-up (probably half); I doubt there will be any significant room left for a significantly-sized hotel and casino (the above render will have any new hotel look like it’s too small for the Strip, even smaller than the Tropicana’s Paradise Tower). And I kinda wish the OYO Hotel ( and all the motels to the east of the Trop) could be demolished for any new MLB stadium, too, if the A’s are this insistent on a Strip site because a different site just isn’t feasible.

Plus, I don’t know why ALL of the Tropicana’s lowrise wings couldn’t have been torn down in 2010 instead of just A SINGLE lowrise wing (the four-storey one). I’m not a big fan of the complete “white-washout” of the Tropicana’s towers since then, either. Just how close is that ballpark to being finalized and ready for construction, anyway?

The A’s already have a small fan base so I’m not sure moving them here will help. You’d probably have a larger fan base and business by building a death star casino. far more star wars fans than A’s fans. I’d go visit just to see the imperial emperor. zing zing buzzzz.

Why would you put a business that generates very little tax dollars right on prime real estate. Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t most tax dollars are generated from gambling, food and alcohol? Then why tear down a huge building and construct a billion dollar business that going to sell $10 tickets and a few hot dogs? Even in a dilapidated state, the Trop generates more tax dollars than a baseball stadium ever will. I think Aaron is right, government, construction companies, Unions and especially the A’s owner are trying to force feed the public into a very very bad deal for LV residents.

Bally’s will tear down the Trop, and probably never build the new casino, and the A’s will suck no matter how much money we put into this new stadium. But nice AI Stadium.

Such a shame if it were simply demolished.

Parents loved to do the Vegas thing. Lots of memories, kind of sad, but this property died in my mind many years ago. I wish it would not be a “stadium” how about a new and different casion? (Stations?, like Durango or Red Rock? maybe another Circa type venue? ). I lived in the Bay Area, the A’s suck. You guys got two sucky teams (Raiders & A’s). Anyway, good luck with that. So the tax payers will pick up the bill because it is a stadium for public use? That’s what both teams tried to do in Oakland, CA. but the tax payers said “NO” they needed the money for more impt. things like hiring more law enforcement and cleaning up the city.

It’s A.I. It’s about as realistic as the actual renderings from the A’s. Specifically, zero percent realistic.

I cannot understand the orientation related to the Strip or the location of world reknown landmarks like MGM Grand. Not nearly enough hotel rooms or parking are evident and the whole thing looks like it is in Henderson. Oddly no discussion about incorporating OYO to increase available land. Totally unrealistic and not part of real world.
