I agree with you that both the A’s and Bally’s will have problems raising money to build a new baseball stadium along with a new hotel casino where the Tropicana currently resides. The A’s have lost millions of dollars because they have been a bad baseball team over the last couple of years along with having a baseball stadium in Oakland that is old and decrepit. I think it was built around 1970. Meanwhile Bally’s temporary casino in Chicago (where I live) had only $8.5 million in casino revenue in December and has struggled since it opened a couple of months ago. The Nevada legislature has agreed to $380 million in public funding for the new ballpark. Fisher has not said publicly how he would pay for the estimated $1.1 billion necessary to finance the rest of the construction costs.
