Had that happen with Gordie Brown at the Nugget. two friends from out of town so I took them to see Gordie. Crickets chirping all night and me apologizing for wasting my friends fun time in Vegas. Downtown just doesn’t have any good acts worth fighting the crowd for. the moral of the story is, I wish Miss Behave all the luck but, downtown just doesn’t draw good talent.

It has migrated to Virgin Voyages cruises and to Virgin’s credit the show was kept intact and in choosing the proper hosts, which Miss Behave totally relies on, it retains it’s fun a wacky Vegas spirit.

Absinthe is great, but with its success the price keeps going up and up. Perhaps $25 is too cheap for a show at the Plaza, and seemingly I’m the only person who wants something to do downtown besides listen to cover bands and avoid Zowie Bowie. (Which babe on stage is his current girlfriend?) Shows have changed a lot, but I’m always stunned that downtown can’t book a regular gig worth talking about. Last time I remember Plaza having a successful, sustained show was Louie Anderson. How long has that been? The Maverick show is just what downtown needs, and I will buy a reasonably priced ticket every time I’m in Vegas. If I hadn’t stopped getting comped rooms at Plaza, it’d be more often.
