You can understand why they implemented paid parking??? HowEVER did they get by without it prior to this? You would think the casinos were losing money hand over fist before they introduced paid parking…snark.

Jason you’re right, CEO’s have nothing but profit in mind. Companies like Caesars and MGM hire Harvard MBA’s to turn profit, not to be visionaries and create experiences for tourist to enjoy. Even when there is an experience involved, ya better be ready to over pay(new sphere). there’s no personality in casinos, just sports book, goofy blinking slot machines and overpriced food ($29 hamburger) and booze. I’m holding out going to a casino until Walmart gets in the game and brings back the $2.99 breakfast and free parking.

I’m tired of the “other cities charge more than Vegas so it’s a bargain” line. If other cities charged $500.00 a day would you defend Vegas if it charged $100.00? It’s nothing but a money grab.

I still remember my first time visiting Vegas in 2003. I stayed as far south as you could stay at the time (The Hotel) at Mandalay Bay. I rented a car and valet parked (everywhere) for free. We saw the entirety of the strip from the welcoming Porte Cocheres as they were intended. Never even thought about huffing it down the strip on foot in 100 degree weather. It was amazing to be greeted at the main door of resort and experiencing the free service of valet parking that added to the allure of Vegas back in those days. Now most people walk a crowded sidewalk in the blistering heat where 50% of the escalators don’t work on a tight narrow uninviting stretch of concrete where CVS, Walgreens, pushy timeshare salespeople, pan handlers, hooker card snappers and bums all compete to make your Vegas experience one you won’t want to visit again. Good job Vegas CEO’s and bean counters, soon you will see that Vegas is only Vegas as long as people still feel like its worth visiting. Value and service are important MEH!

Why are whining about paying for parking?. Your already wasting money gambling, shopping or eating any place on the strip, much less staying in an overpriced room with ridiculous resort fees. Every single LV resident knows the strip is for suckers in any capacity. if your foolish enough to go there and feed the greed, paying for parking should be the least of your complaints.
